The legendary CROC Pod has returned – redesigned, refined, and ready to set a new benchmark in rod pod performance. The all-new P1 CROC takes everything anglers loved about the original and pushes it further, combining cutting-edge engineering with unmistakable Solar styling.
From the moment you set eyes on it, you’ll know it’s a Solar product – engineered with precision, built to last, and instantly recognisable on the bank. Using the latest CAD 3D design technology and advanced machining, we’ve reworked this iconic ‘ground-hugging’ pod, originally launched back in the 1990s, and brought it right up to date for the modern carp angler.
Some of the best-loved features remain, such as the Worldwide-style Independent Leg Angle Adjustment System (ILAS). To this we’ve added twin main bars for rock-solid rigidity, single uprights for a tougher chassis, wider front and rear bars, and external leg attachments – all working together to deliver unrivalled stability. It’s already being hailed as one of the most stable pods available, cementing Solar’s reputation as the leader in bankware innovation.
As the name suggests, the P1 CROC excels as a low-profile ground pod, but it’s far from limited. Designed with adaptability in mind, it comes fitted with new semi quick-release 3/8 BSF thread fittings on the updated Stubby legs (supplied). These are mounted at the outer ends of the bridge bars, making it simple to swap them for longer legs or banksticks when the terrain demands it. Whatever the situation, the P1 CROC adapts with ease.
