With the late and ever-popular Shimano Ultegra XTD's now being discontinued they have brought out their replacement the Shimano Ultegra XTE 14000, these reels are the perfect mid-budget range reels on the marker ticking all boxes, primarily designed to take long-distance fishing to a new level, featuring the super slow oscillation which only Shimano reels can have. Not only are these built to help with casting they are built to last better and help play fish better, whilst still looking the part with a sleek black design suiting any rod they are paired with. The body and mechanics of the reel are designed immensely to get the most out of it, with the super slow oscillation which allows for a smoother line lay which is proven to reduce friction on your cast which will help you hit your optimum distance, they are now manufactured with a more rigid spool which helps reduce spool deflection at the point of the cast and as well as this the parrel body of the reel sends the line at a perfect angle into the first guide of your rod.
